Gino Niccoli - A Leading Marketer And Trainer.

Introduction

Dear Inquirer,

Hi. I’m Gino Niccoli. You’ve probably stumbled onto this site looking for more information about me and who I am, where I came from and what I’m all about. I think it’s important to know whom you’re dealing with and I want to thank you up front for coming here to take peek. Hopefully, this site will give you the information you need.

In The Beginning

I grew up in a sleepy town northeast of San Diego called Escondido. I never finished high school, although I did end up getting my C.H.S.P.E. (same as GED). During school, my interests were in history and writing. In fact, I wanted to write professionally and looked up to writers like Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway and Edgar Alan Poe. I wrote poems and short stories, got published several times locally and nationally and then went on to study journalism. At the age of 13 I was hired to write professionally as a columnist and did so until my freshman year of high school. In high school, I wrote for the school paper. This experience taught me some very important lessons in print copy that I still use today. After high school I tried all kinds of things for a while looking for my place. I did construction, lathing, and I was certified to run printing presses. I learned using my hands to make a living wasn’t for me so I began to study marketing. I was even published in several periodicals for my short stories and poetry and this would later prove very useful in copywriting. My family had a history in sales and my Dad was one of the best, eventually helping to grow one of S. California’s largest pool companies, so I knew marketing was ‘in my blood’. Growing up in SoCal meant I was pretty casual and I never had an interest in wearing a suit all day so I began to study using the phone as my primary tool of marketing.

I moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1990 with my first wife and earned my license to sell Life and Casualty Insurance. Within 4 months, I became the number 1 rookie agent in the U.S. for this particular company, one of the largest in Medicare Supplements. I helped to break a new market in Long-term care policies. Although I was good enough and offered even more opportunity, I walked away from insurance, again not wanting to wear a suit all day.
By this time, I had been training salesman for 3 different types of industries and had established myself as one of the best in both training and marketing using the phone as my primary tool of the trade. At this point, I began to study even more about marketing, direct marketing, and helped to create mail pieces that went on to generate millions of dollars for some of the largest call centers in Phoenix at the time.

My Experience As An Entrepreneur

I began starting my own businesses at the age of 16. A friend and I started a company called G & S Enterprises, restoring classic cars. Although it never really grew into much, we did restore several cars, one of which is still in a Costa Mesa, Ca. museum last I heard. By the time I was 18, I had already studied marketing and sales for years and had become good enough that I was given the responsibility to start and run some pretty large organizations in Ca, before moving to Phoenix. I also had continued to open my own businesses, applying what I had learned in marketing to this point.

Most of the time, my efforts in business were dismal at best. I had joined several Network Marketing programs and bought several television offered opportunities, all which failed miserably. I couldn’t figure it out. I knew someone had to be making money with these ventures and I figured with my skills and reputation at this point, I should have been able to make them work. I was wrong. I did the friends and family thing, practiced the 3-foot rule, put out tons of flyers, got kicked out of every mall and swat meet I could find and still couldn’t make it work. Then I tried the ‘no money down’ real estate in the slowest market in the country at that time and failed big there too. I started a jewelry business too, but each time I failed. I failed because I still didn’t understand the true science behind marketing, what makes a consumer buy.

I worked harder and harder, eventually having some breakthroughs like developing a 5 step system to define the components of any transaction and developing a 6 step system for overcoming objections, both of which I have taught now for more that 15 years.

My First Big Break

By the time 1995 rolled around, I had traveled all over the country, opening marketing centers, running other centers and training thousands of people. In 1996 I returned to AZ and got married in July to Sherri, who has stuck with me ever since. Once again, I couldn’t stand it and decided to start my own company, and with my wife’s help, we founded a company from our bedroom that grew to more than $3.5 million dollars in less than 18 months using all the marketing experience I had gathered to this point. In 1998, my son was born and I decided to change business venues. I opened a Baseball card shop, my only big stab at conventional retail. I risked everything again, and again, I lost big.

In 2000 I consulted in my largest venture, a call center of more than 300 reps, and grew that program to more than $10 million dollars in less than a year. At the same time, I entered another MLM and attracted more than 700 clients in less than 30 days.

By 2002 I created and was featured in my first infomercial project that reached millions of consumers nationwide, offering to help them eliminate credit card debt.

How I Got Where I’m At Today

In the winter of 2002 I met Terry Duff and by the spring of 2003 we started our own company, which became The Dream Team and we haven’t looked back. The Dream Team was started from our homes, from scratch, with just some leads and basic scripts. Our dream has always been to help others achieve their financial goals in marketing and The Dream Team is allowing us to live out that dream. It took less than 12 months to generate more than $1 million dollars and each year we have grown very rapidly. Today, On Stage Marketing, LLC operates several enterprises including network marketing, direct marketing and retail. We have now mastered and teach anyone the 3 most coveted tools of marketing today, the phone, the Internet and copy both ‘on’ and ‘offline’.

The Secrets To My Success

The secrets to my success I owe to my parents, my Dad who will always be the greatest marketer I have ever known and my Mom and Mother who both gave me life and unfettered direction. I credit the works of outstanding marketers like Zig Ziglar, Tommy Hopkins, Dan Kennedy, and one of my all time favorites, Joe Sugarman. I owe a great deal to trainers like Dale Carnegie, Tony Robbins, Toastmasters, The Rotary Club and more. Special thanks to Marlin Chambers who showed me the beauty of the Participation Close in the insurance business, to Jim Kreig who taught me the freedom of the telephone as a marketing device, to Mark Meena who helped to challenge me and inspired me to develop the 5 mechanical components of a marketing transaction, to Terry Duff who has been the most inspirational of partners and whom found in me the patience, persistence and focus to accomplish all of my dreams. Finally, I want to thank my wife and son. My wife is the most loving, supportive and gracious of all and stuck it out through thick and thin and who had the vision of what could be before I could possibly imagine. To my son, for being the most inspiring thing I have ever known, his simply being gives me purpose, for defining unconditional love. I have studied marketing for my entire adult life and continue to do so and it would be impossible to name all of my influences, but to all of them, I thank them for the secrets they have imparted. My dream continues to be changing lives, to leave a lasting impression and to teach anyone how to create income from home, regardless of the product or service they wish to market as long as it delivers true value and benefit to the end consumer.

Thank you again for taking the time to visit this site and I hope this gives you a better understanding of who I am and my background. I truly want nothing more than to see anyone who wants it, to have the opportunities and success I have had and I am committed to helping others do just that. To this end, I hope our paths may cross in the future and that I may be of service to you.

To Your Success,

Gino Niccoli
